Odontophobia. It’s a real word, and it describes a real fear – the fear of the dentist. It’s estimated that as many as 15 percent of Americans put off needed dental treatment because of dental phobia and anxiety. Unfortunately, this means that they are missing out on the preventative treatments that protect their teeth so by the time a dental condition drives them to seek help, they are in need of more extensive care, which only serves to reinforce their fear.

Dentistry has a reputation for being painful and scary, but at Seacrest Dental, we are dedicated to changing that. Your comfort is our top priority, and all of our dentists have been trained in providing as painless of an experience as possible. We are constantly being told by our patients things like, “I didn’t even feel that at all! Was that a shot?” and “Are we done already?”

Dental care doesn’t have to be scary. We hope that you’ll give us a chance and find out how calm, comfortable, and relaxing quality dental care can be. Call our Seagrove or Miramar Beach dental office to schedule your appointment. If you’d like, we’re happy to meet with you ahead of time to discuss your concerns and how we can best help you get your needs met. We are ready to listen.

We accept all private insurance plans BUT that does not mean we are in network with all private insurance plans. This means that we will file any procedure that you have completed with your insurance company. It is important to recognize that your dental insurance does have the final say on which procedures and treatments they will pay for, and not every treatment will be covered by your insurance provider and the amount of coverage varies as well. We will do our best to determine your coverage so that we can provide you with an accurate estimate of the amount that is your responsibility, but this can change. It is always helpful if you familiarize yourself with your dental coverage. You can find out more about which procedures are covered and what your plan’s limitations are by calling the customer service number on the back of your insurance card.

We recognize that many families are operating on a tight budget these days. In order to cut costs, many people avoid seeing the dentist, thinking that this is something “extra” that can be easily trimmed from the budget.

Unfortunately, cutting dental care from your budget could set you up for much high dental costs down the road, as well as discomfort, missed work days, and hassle. We don’t think that dental care needs to be a luxury. We think that it should be accessible to everyone, so we’ve made it easy for our friends and neighbors in Seagrove, Miramar Beach, and the surrounding areas to get high quality dental care at a fair and reasonable price.

Our costs for services are highly competitive for the Santa Rosa Beach area, and we accept all types of dental insurance. Our goal is to provide great dentistry and treat patients fairly. We do not “nickel and dime” by tacking on extra “surprise” fees.

We have many flexible payment options to make it easy to afford the dentistry you need, including:

  • Zero-interest financing
  • Monthly payments
  • Discounts for upfront payment on certain treatment plants

We are also proud to offer discounts to teachers, firefighters, police, and military. You do great work for our community, and this is our way of saying, “Thank you for all you do.”

Yes! All of our doctors are comfortable seeing kids. In particular, Dr. Sarika Tamaskar is great with kids!

We want to make it easy for your entire family to get the care they need, from the youngest member to the most senior! Different ages have different needs and dental goals, and we understand these well. We feel that one of the most important goals when treating kids is not just to keep their teeth in great shape, but also helping them have a good time at our office and showing them that the dental office is a fun and safe place to be. It’s our duty to set your child up for a lifetime of good dental habits and oral health.

A child’s first visit should be at age one or when the first tooth is visible in the mouth, which ever one comes first! If you have questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call so that we can help you out. We offer the full range of pediatric dental treatment and we’re always happy to discuss issues that are specific to childhood, like thumb sucking, pacifier use, the role of nutrition in dental development, and when to plan for the arrival of the tooth fairy.

We look forward to meeting your children and providing top-notch dental care to your entire family!
